During her MSc in Data Science at the University of Exeter, Namia explored hybrid intelligence approaches in medical image segmentation, which inspired her to pursue a PhD in the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare. As a Data Scientist by profession, Namia is passionate about the translational potential of AI in healthcare. Her work aims to bridge data science, biomechanics, and clinical practice to support personalised rehabilitation and improve patient outcomes. Namia's current research involves developing AI models that combine SPECT/CT imaging and finite element analysis (FEA) to understand pain mechanisms following knee replacement surgery.
