Thijs Jansz is an Academic Clinical Lecturer and Specialist Registrar in Renal Medicine at the University of Exeter Medical School and North Bristol NHS Trust. He studied medicine at the Vrije Universiteit te Amsterdam, graduating cum laude, and earned his PhD from Universiteit Utrecht (the Netherlands). He splits his time between clinical work and research, focusing on targeting emerging kidney-protective treatments to those most likely to benefit. His works uses large-scale electronic healthcare data from the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD), and he works with the CPRD group led by Professor John Dennis within the Clinical Diabetes Research Group.
