Rehabilitation
This project uses artificial intelligence and telerehabilitation to deliver flexible, personalised exercise guidance for older adults, helping them stay active and independent for longer.
The project will be delivered through three key phases:
1. Development: I will use a co-design approach to develop the tool and a small-scale proof-of-concept data collection to inform early design.
2. Algorithm training: I will collect data to develop and train the algorithm that powers the personalised exercise progression.
3. Feasibility testing: I will run a longitudinal feasibility study to determine the acceptability of the approach and its potential for improving exercise adherence.
If this project is successful, we plan to run a larger study to test how effective the tool is. We also hope to expand its use to support people with specific health conditions in the future.
