I am a bioinformatician with a background in computer science. I hold a BSc and MSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Bioinformatics. My journey into computational biology began during my MSc, where I developed a novel algorithm for detecting protein complexes in protein interaction networks.

I pursued my PhD at the University of Tehran, focusing on RNA sequencing data analysis and the study of biological networks in cancer research. After relocating to the UK, I joined the Complex Disease Epigenetics Group in the Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Exeter as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.

In my current role, I specialize in the analysis of omics data, particularly in the context of dementia genomics, with expertise in epigenetics, RNA-Seq, circular RNA, and small RNA data analysis. I am proficient in R and Python programming and have a strong foundation in graph theory, algorithms, machine learning, and deep learning — particularly in their applications to computational biology.

Driven by a deep passion for bioinformatics, I am committed to advancing our understanding of complex biological systems and developing computational solutions to pressing challenges in the life sciences.
