Professor Michael Gibbons Linking telomeres to therapies for pulmonary fibrosis: a personalised approach to patient management
Michael will explore how emerging understanding of genes and telomeres could help shape personalised approaches to treating pulmonary fibrosis, from translational research through to clinical trials.
Professor Nick Maskell A walk around the pleural space – the positive impact early phase research has had on patients with pleural disease
Nick will look at how early-phase research in pleural medicine has progressed to multicentre trials, influenced international guidelines and improved the management, safety and outcomes of patients with pleural disease.
The session will be chaired by Professor Nick Harvey, NIHR Southampton BRC.
